And as we can expect Great Britain to be the home of an ambitious debating culture, it gets obvious that it would be ideal to practice debating also in the english language.
Of course no one of us is an expert in speaking english, but within a friendly atmosphere we try to develop our skills. Nobody is perfect and so we are going to discuss our mistakes and learn from each other.
Being able to do presentations in english is sometimes really hard especially with just basic knowledge like average school english. Everyone of us knows these situations when we want to say a sentence but we just keep searching after some words to finish it. Even if there would be a simpler way to express what we want to. And the obligatory courses at university do not make the students speak a lot on their own or even get in discussion with their class.
Our english debates , held with the same serious regulatories as the german ones, are so far an ideal concept to get better step by step without thinking of having to be perfect all the time.
